Women's Final Four History, Teams, and Locations: 1982 thru Present

NCAA women's Final Four history dates back to 1982 when Louisiana Tech, Cheyney State, Maryland, and Tennessee battled in Norfolk, Virginia. Five schools have made at least 5 trips to the semifinals in NCAA women's Final Four history. Tennessee leads the way with 17 trips to the women's semi-final followed by Louisiana Tech with 10 trips, Connecticut with 8, Stanford with 6, and Georgia with 5 NCAA women's semi-final appearances. LSU has made 4 consecutive trips to the women's Final Four weekend. The 2008 NCAA women's Final Four will be played at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida on April 6 and 8. Selection Monday is March 17 with first round games on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 followed by second round action March 24 and 25.
