WCBR Top 10 Rankings: Women's College Basketball Rankings
The WCBR Top 10 rankings represent the way I would rate the top 10 teams if I was allowed to turn in a ballot for the AP women's college basketball poll or ESPN/USA Today coaches women's poll. While win/loss records do warrant some consideration, my rankings are largely weighted based on the caliber of opponents a given team has beaten. Don't expect to show up in the WCBR Top 10 rankings if you play a cupcake schedule or don't beat any quality teams. Who you beat and who your opponents have beaten defines how strong of a basketball team you have.

1) Connecticut - Overall record is 32-1. Has beaten Stanford, Duke, West Virginia, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Old Dominion, LSU, Louisville twice, and Rutgers. Lost at Rutgers by 2 points.

2) Tennessee - Overall record is 30-2. Has beaten LSU, Vanderbilt three times, Oklahoma, West Virginia, North Carolina, Old Dominion, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Duke. Lost to LSU and at Stanford.
3) North Carolina - Overall record is 30-2. Best wins are Maryland, Virginia(twice), and Duke(three times). Lost to Tennessee and Connecticut.
4) Maryland - Overall record is 30-3. Has beaten Oklahoma, Notre Dame, LSU, Ohio State, Virginia(twice), and Duke(twice). Lost at Rutgers, at North Carolina, and against Duke in the ACC tournament.
5) Stanford - Overall record is 30-3. Has beaten Rutgers, Old Dominion, Tennessee, Baylor, and California(three times). Lost to Connecticut, UCLA, and USC.
6) LSU - Overall record is 27-5. Has beaten Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Georgia. Lost to Tennessee, Rutgers, Connecticut, Maryland, and Middle Tennessee State.
7) Rutgers - Overall record is 24-6. Has beaten LSU, Maryland, George Washington, California, Connecticut, and Notre Dame. Six losses include a 2 point loss to Stanford and a controversial 1 point loss to Tennessee.
8) Texas A&M - Overall record is 26-7. Has won 13 of 14 games including victories over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State(twice), Texas(twice), Iowa State(twice), and Baylor. Big 12 women's tourney champs.
9) Old Dominion - Overall record is 29-4. Has beaten Purdue, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky. Lost to Connecticut, Tennessee, Stanford, and James Madison. CAA regular season and tourney champs.
10) California - Overall record is 26-6. Best wins are Vanderbilt and Arizona State(three times). Has lost to Baylor, Rutgers, Washington, and Stanford(three times).
